It features tender beef slices marinated in a tangy soy sauce and calamansi mixture, then pan-fried to perfection. Ingredients


  • Beef Sirloin, Thinly Sliced

    Half Kilo

  • Coco Aminos

    1/4 cup

  • Calamansi Juice

    1/4 cup

  • Garlic, minced

    4 cloves

  • Onion, Thinly Sliced

  • Cooking Oil (Olive or Coconut oil)

    1 tablespoon

  • Salt

    To taste

  • Pepper

Steps


  1. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, calamansi juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well to create the marinade.
  2. Place the thinly sliced beef in the marinade and ensure each piece is coated. Allow it to marinate for at least 15 minutes, but longer marination time will enhance the flavors.
  3. Heat the cooking oil in a skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the sliced onions to the pan and sauté until they become translucent and slightly caramelized.
  5. Remove the onions from the pan and set them aside.
  6. In the same pan, fry the marinated beef slices in batches until they are browned on both sides. This will take about 2-3 minutes per side. Make sure not to overcrowd the pan to ensure proper browning.
  7. Once all the beef slices are cooked, return the sautéed onions to the pan and stir them together with the beef.
  8. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  9. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley or green onions if desired.
  10. Serve the Keto Filipino "Bistek" hot with cauliflower rice or steamed vegetables as a low-carb side dish.
