Ingredients


  • Chicken (boneless, skinless)

    4 breasts

  • Bacon (cooked, crumbled)

    6 slices

  • Cheddar Cheese

    1 cup

  • Heavy Cream

    1/2 cup

  • Butter (unsalted)

    2 tablespoons

  • Garlic (minced)

    2 cloves

  • Dried Thyme

    1/2 teaspoon

  • Paprika

    1/2 teaspoon

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Fresh Parsley (optional garnish)

Steps


  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, dried thyme, and paprika on both sides.
  3. Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the butter and let it melt.
  4. Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.
  5. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Reduce the heat to medium-low. Add the heavy cream and shredded cheddar cheese to the skillet, stirring continuously until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy. This should take about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, nestling them into the creamy cheddar sauce.
  8. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for approximately 20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  9. Once the chicken is cooked, remove the skillet from the oven. Sprinkle the crumbled bacon over the chicken.
  10. Optionally, garnish with fresh parsley for added freshness and presentation.
