Squid Adobo (Adobong Pusit)

Ingredients


  • Squid

    1/2 kilo

  • Vinegar (Cane or Coconut)

    1/4 cup

  • Soy Sauce (Coco Aminus)

    1/4 cup

  • Onion, chopped

    1

  • Garlic, minced

    4 cloves

  • Coconut Oil

    2 tablespoon

  • Bay Leaf

  • Salt

    To taste

  • Pepper

    To taste

Steps


  1. Heat the coconut oil in a pan or skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant and the onion becomes translucent.
  2. Add the sliced squid to the pan and cook for a few minutes until it starts to turn opaque.
  3. Pour in the vinegar and soy sauce. Add the bay leaf. Stir well to coat the squid with the sauce.
  4. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the squid is tender. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the amount of soy sauce or vinegar according to your preference for acidity and saltiness.
  6. Once the squid is tender, remove the pan from the heat.
  7. Transfer the Keto Adobong Pusit to a serving dish and garnish with chopped green onions if desired.
  8. Serve the Keto Adobong Pusit hot with cauliflower rice or a side of steamed vegetables for a complete and satisfying keto meal.
